If you happen to be lucky enough to be presented with the privilege of purchasing the center square of a Queens Grandma, your lunch hour just got as good as it can get provided that you are wise enough to devour that opportunity with a liberal splash of the fairy dust they have at the counter.

I should have taken a picture but my salivary glands kicked in and I lost all reason and self-control.

At one point this would have been a four star. It's not really fair that I'm giving them three stars because it wasn't really their fault, but the experience ruined it for us.

The first time we had them, we had a slice from their food truck and it was an instant hit. We ordered delivery (through door dash) to the house twice and it was delicious both times. (Although, the garlic knots weren't as good when delivered.)

The third time we had it delivered, I had family from California out here and we raved about how delicious it was. When it got here, the boxes had clearly been dropped. The pizzas had slid and crumpled to the front of the box and the pizza was so soggy it was almost unbearable. We were embarrassed.

Needless to say, we will still eat here, but we probably won't ever do delivery again. If you do decide to risk a delivery, the pizzas are HUGE. So I recommend feeding at least four people with it or plan on eating it for several days as leftovers.

Big apple pizza is a carry out location with a couple of tables. If you want to eat this delicious pizza pie get it to go. They do offer by the slice pieces depending on the time of day will determine selection. You can eat in, but it's not a table service restaurant. Great for quick bites, a slice, or carry out. New York style has to be your thing, if it is, this is the place to go in fort wayne

Wrote a review for this place and it got took down. Sorry It's not a 5 star place. Sorry for stating the truth. Richards should of kept the bakery and ditched this Pizza place idea. Lets start this one off. Well first of all the Pizza is all dough almost like an old sponge , toppings aren't stacked on to high and prices are a little bit nutty. Crust reminds me of Chef Boyardee crust you just get a whole lot more of it. YIKES...

Wasn't impressed with the price, the texture or taste of the Pizza I got at Big Apple Pizza. I like dense crust not fluffy light crust that stands a mile high, if I want fluffy crust I can get a box of Chef Boyardee pizza maker in a box much cheaper. And the prices are highway robbery.

The good thing about it is it only took ordering a Pizza one time to know I wouldn't order another Pizza again. I give it to 2 stars out of the kindness of my heart. They don't deliver, it's in an awkward area to park when it gets busy off Wells street, prices are high, crust taste like Chef Boyardee and textured like it, everything else is very average at the best.
